Happiness just isn’t for me. There have been times I know I’ve been pretty damn close, or even got there. But life and people just fail me and fuck me up. I am more content like this.. Than I’ve ever been happy - but then let down and hurt. It is a long and painful way to fall from happiness into depression. The ups that are so up, just are simply not worth the downs that drown me for years after the fall. It is easier like this - even though life and people still hurt me, lie, leave and fuck me up - it is not as big of a fall. It isn’t shattering, but it sufficiently adds to the mess that is me.
